'Marines et paysages' - Jan Cremer

01-03-2008 ... 16-03-2008

From Saturday, March 2, until Sunday, March 16, 2008, Jaski Art Gallery organized the exhibition ‘Marines et paysages’ with works by Jan Cremer. The very well attended official opening of this show took place on Saturday, March 1.

With ‘Marines et paysages’, Jan Cremer reconfirmed his close coöperation with Jaski Art Gallery, which this year finishes already its second decade. As the title suggested, for the works shown during this show, Cremer was inspired especially by the sea and various landscapes.

“Jan Cremer takes brush and palette knife to canvas in sweeping strokes”, wrote the Groninger Museum in 2006. At that time the museum organized the exhibition ‘Zeegezichten’ (‘Seascapes’) with twenty works by Cremer. We showed some of these fascinating paintings as well.
