Danny van Ryswyk
Dutch digital painter & sculptor Danny van Ryswyk started as an illustrator for the advertising world. In the nineties, he was one of the firsts who made the switch to digital techniques. In his hauntingly obscure computer-generated imagery, Danny creates surreal underground artworks with the aid of 3-dimensional software. His work is a mysterious fuse of dream imaginary and Victorian portraiture with a distinctly paranormal bent. His work hovers along the lines of beauty and the absurdity, and effectively utilises the examination of a reality that exist outside the range of science’s ability to explain or measure.
