Chris Berens – Gloedkompas – The Original Works
From Saturday 21 February until Sunday 1 March, Jaski presents an exhibition with the original Chris Berens-works for the project Gloedkompas. The official opening will take place on Saturday 21 February, 4-7 pm.
Gloedkompas is an oracle deck created by writer Susan Smit and Chris Berens, published in 2025. While the imagery has already reached a wide audience, the original works have never before been shown publicly.
This exhibition presents, for the first and only time, the six original panel paintings created specifically for Gloedkompas. The works form a distinct and self-contained project, developed through close collaboration between Smit and Berens, in which image and text emerged in dialogue.
The exhibition runs for 10 days only, offering a rare opportunity to experience the originals at their full scale. Alongside the panel paintings, a small selection of related works on paper will also be shown. The Gloedkompas oracle deck will be available at the gallery.
