Jaski joined Art Affair in Amsterdam Hilton

Jaski Gallery was one of the six renowned Dutch art dealers which joined forces in organizing a sales exhibition, called Art Affair, at the Ballroom of the Amsterdam Hilton from September 3rd through 6th, 2020.

The six international art dealers have known each other for years, in part through their mutual participation in TEFAF Maastricht, the world’s leading art and antique fair. Because large scale events cannot take place at that moment, this group of colleagues, who complement each other’s specialities, decided to unite in one luxurious and intimate selling exhibition which could be visited in line with the latest guidelines of the Dutch CDC (RIVM).

The participating dealers were:

Jaski Gallery, Amsterdam (modern and contemporary art)
A. Aardewerk, The Hague (antique silver and jewellery)
Kunstgalerij Albricht, Oosterbeek (19th and 20th century paintings)
Aronson Antiquairs, Amsterdam (17th and 18th century Delftware)
Bijl-Van Urk, Alkmaar (17th century old master paintings)
Kollenburg Antiquairs, Oirschot (17th and 18th century applied arts)

The works in the Jaski Gallery stand included a large and colourful untitled oil on canvas by Karel Appel from 1974, which was never shown before, as well as an untitled acrylic on paper laid down on canvas from 1967 by Asger Jorn and an acrylic on rice paper on canvas from 1987 by Pierre Alechinsky, titled Vanité Citadine. These three works are shown on this page. We also showed new taxidermy works by Les Deux Garçons.
