Jaski to open new gallery in Bangkok
After several years of presenting Jaski in Bangkok through the smaller Jaski Showcase, we are very happy to take the next step and open Jaski Bangkok.
Opening in 2027, Jaski Bangkok will be located in a 300-square-metre space in the historic Chavanich Building, built in 1946 and part of the well-known Warehouse 30 compound.
The gallery is in the heart of Bangkok’s historic riverside district, just behind the Portuguese Embassy and close to the Mandarin Oriental and the new The Langham, Custom House, Bangkok. River City, Talat Noi and the lively Song Wat area are all nearby.
The Chavanich Building is a rare example of Bangkok Art Deco architecture. Its strong symmetry, geometric lines, original wrought-iron details and distinctive window “eyebrows” combine European Art Deco with Bangkok’s tropical climate. The off-white façade, pastel blue-grey details and grooved surfaces give the building its elegant and understated character.
Now part of the creative Warehouse 30 compound, its history and architecture make it a unique setting for contemporary art and design.
Jaski Bangkok will present exhibitions by artists from our international programme alongside artists from Thailand and the wider Asian art scene. With the new gallery, we hope to become a meaningful part of Bangkok’s vibrant art community and create a bridge between Europe and Asia.
Jaski Bangkok will have its soft opening in February 2027, followed by the official opening on 13 May 2027.
