Les Deux Garçons – Les Porteurs de Réconfort
From Saturday 30 October until Sunday 21 November 2021, Jaski Gallery organized a new Les Deux Garçons show, titled ‘Les Porteurs de Réconfort’.
During the opening reception on 30 October, an introductory speech was given by Dick van Broekhuizen, Curator of Museum Beelden aan Zee, The Hague.
After this, the exhibition was officially opened by Edwin Jacobs, Director of the Maastricht Institute of Arts.
“After Covid, we feel an erge to cherish, to embrace, to feel safe in an almost fetal position”, Les Deux Garçons say. “We are longing for skin hunger, skin contact. We want to be one, round, warm and safe. See our works as the bearers of the new comfort.”
